Ultra 30 Net install Part II

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

I tried a cdrom burned from the master, it died on a short read, I suspect
the wrong sector size was used. I'd rather get the net boot working
anyways.

I dug through the solaris-2.6 answer book, and rearranged my solaris-2.5.1
server to have enough disk for the image of the solaris-2.6 cdrom.

I'm trying to get a uninstalled Ultra 30 (sun4u) installed with solaris 2.6
from a disk image of the solaris-2.6 cdrom on a existing solaris-2.5.1 box..

I ran:
lobata:/mnt/solaris26/Solaris_2.6/Tools # ./setup_install_server -b /var/boot
Verifying target directory...
Calculating space required for the installation boot image
Copying Solaris_2.6 Tools hierarchy...
Install Server setup complete
lobata:/mnt/solaris26/Solaris_2.6/Tools #

So far so good.

Then:
lobata:/var/boot/Solaris_2.6/Tools # ./add_install_client -s lobata:/var/boot godzilla sun4u
cleaning up preexisting install client "godzilla.math.ucdavis.edu"
egrep: can't open /etc/bootparams
removing /tftpboot/inetboot.SUN4U.Solaris_2.6-1
removing /tftpboot
disabling tftp in /etc/inetd.conf
making /tftpboot
enabling tftp in /etc/inetd.conf
updating /etc/bootparams
copying inetboot to /tftpboot
lobata:/var/boot/Solaris_2.6/Tools #

So far so good.

Then boot net (I also tried boot net - install)
rebooting with command: boot net- FD=/pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/sd@0,0:a=32=0=X
Boot device: /pci@1f,4000/network@1,1 File and args: - FD=/pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/sd@0,0:a=32=0=X
2ec00 hostname: godzilla.math.ucdavis.edu
dommainname: math.ucdavis.edu
root server=lobata.math.ucdavis.edu
root directory: /var/boot/Solaris_2.6/Tools/Boot
Sunos Release 5.6 Version Generic [UNIX(R) System V Release 4.0]
Copyright (c) 1983-1997, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
ld.so.1: mount: fatal: /dev/zero mmap failed: No such device
Killed
tmpfs mount failed

Not good.

I don't have /usr/bin/solstice available.

The only file I think it's using is:
lobata:/var/boot/Solaris_2.6/Tools # cat /etc/ethers
8:0:20:8c:c0:61 godzilla.math.ucdavis.edu

Which looks right.
