CoLogNet Area Workshop Series on
Component-based Software Development
and
Implementation Technology for Computational Logic Systems
This workshop series was conceived under the umbrella of the newly initiated
Computational Logic Network
(CoLogNET), an European
Union-sponsored research network. This network aims at continuing the task
of the former Compulog networks, with a wider view which encompasses not
only Logic Programming, but also other fields of Computer Science which are
nowadays seen to be closely related to computational logic. The goal of
this broadening is to foster a much needed cross-fertilization and exchange
of ideas among different areas.
The workshop aims at continuing the tradition of previous gatherings,
among which we may cite:
- Component-based Software Development in Computational Logic (COCL),
previously held in Pisa
(1998)
and Paris (1999).
- Compulog Net workshops on
Parallelism and Implementation
Technologies,
held in Madrid
(1993)
(1994),
Utrecht
(1995),
Bonn
(1996),
Port Jefferson
(1997),
Manchester
(1998),
Las Cruces
(1999),
and London
(2000),
and it has also strong links with the workshops on Implementation of
Logic Programming Systems, a saga which includes events held in Budapest
(1993), Santa Margherita (1994), Ithaca (1994), and the CICLOPS series
celebrated in Cyprus
(2001), Copenhagen (2002), and Mumbai (2003).
